This monograph presents a scientific study on the effectiveness of adapted movement and traditional national games in improving the physical preparedness of 10–12-year-old volleyball players. The main focus is placed on the possibilities of purposeful use of movement games to develop speed and specific agility qualities in young athletes. The educational and functional significance of national and movement games, the role of physical qualities in volleyball training, and their application in practical sessions are theoretically analyzed and clearly demonstrated. Research methods included the analysis of scientific literature, questionnaires, anthropometric measurements, testing, pedagogical experiments, and mathematical-statistical analysis tools. Based on the experimental results, it was found that training programs designed on the basis of national games yielded higher outcomes in developing speed and agility qualities among 10–12-year-old athletes compared to traditional methods. Practical recommendations for improving the training of young athletes were developed on the basis of the research materials.
